This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Threat Researcher (AI) in the United States.
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a pioneering cloud security organization at a time of rapid growth and innovation. As a Threat Researcher (AI), you will conduct advanced research into cloud- and AI-native environments, identifying novel attack vectors and high-impact risks. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to translate your findings into actionable solutions and foundational security capabilities. This position combines technical depth with strategic influence, allowing you to shape the security posture of large-scale cloud deployments. Ideal candidates are highly analytical, hands-on, and capable of driving complex projects independently. Exposure to AI security and experience with large-scale data analysis will enable you to make a significant impact on the organization’s security strategy.

Accountabilities:

  • Conduct deep technical research to discover and articulate unaddressed risks and attack vectors in cloud and AI-native systems
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate research findings into product capabilities and security solutions
  • Develop proofs of risk and technical proofs of concept (POCs) to demonstrate impact and mitigation strategies
  • Define and support foundational product capabilities to ensure comprehensive security coverage
  • Investigate new and complex product scope areas to inform risk-driven security strategies
  • Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in security or security research, with specific expertise in modern cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Go) for automation and research
  • Proficiency with query languages (e.g., KQL, SQL) for analyzing security telemetry data
  • Ability to independently manage multi-quarter research projects from concept to impact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience collaborating cross-functionally
  • Specialized knowledge or research experience in AI security is a plus
  • Experience presenting research publicly or publishing findings is advantageous
  • Comfort working with large-scale security data to identify statistically significant or high-impact insights
