This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior SDET in India.
As a Senior SDET, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced test automation frameworks for complex, distributed systems. You will ensure software quality across backend services, APIs, and integrations, enabling CI/CD pipelines and supporting continuous deployment. The role requires close collaboration with development, DevOps, and product teams to embed testing early in the software lifecycle. You will investigate production issues, drive root cause analysis, and contribute to evolving internal testing tools. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence automation strategy, enhance product reliability, and work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated tests for backend services, APIs, and integrations.
- Implement comprehensive test strategies covering functional, performance, integration, and security use cases.
- Perform manual testing of early-stage features to validate functionality and edge cases before automation is in place.
- Embed quality into design and development workflows through shift-left testing practices.
- Integrate automated regression suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment.
- Investigate, triage, and debug complex production and test environment issues.
- Drive root cause analysis of test failures and production defects.
- Contribute to the evolution of internal test tools and frameworks while collaborating cross-functionally with development, DevOps, product management, and support teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an SDET, QA automation engineer, or software engineer in test.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining test frameworks for REST APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
- Solid understanding of unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) concepts and protocols, including OAuth2, SAML, SCIM, and Zero Trust.
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Strong debugging and analytical skills, with experience using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools such as Grafana or Kibana.
- Nice-to-have: experience in Go programming, performance/load testing (e.g., Locust, Gatling, JMeter), security testing, secure coding practices, and DevSecOps principles.
- Quality-first mindset, proactive communicator, and growth-oriented problem solver.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package (discussed with recruiter based on experience).
- Remote work opportunity.
- Equity options and performance-based incentives.
- Health and wellness benefits.
- Career growth and learning opportunities.
- Collaborative and ownership-driven culture emphasizing trust, integrity, and customer focus.
