We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead and strengthen our organization’s security posture across cloud and on-premise environments. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement security strategies, drive cloud security initiatives, and oversee identity and access management while working in a fully remote, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep experience in Microsoft Azure, endpoint management, and modern identity solutions. You will mentor junior IT staff, implement compliance controls, and leverage emerging technologies to enhance security operations. This position has significant impact on organizational risk management and operational resilience.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute the organization’s cybersecurity strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls and policies within cloud infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft Azure.
- Oversee Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), conditional access, PIM, and MFA.
- Architect and manage endpoint security using tools such as Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender.
- Proactively monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely remediation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage third-party security tools and vendor services.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior IT staff on security best practices.
Requirements:
- 10–15 years of professional experience in IT Security or a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience securing and managing Microsoft Azure resources.
- Strong expertise in IAM solutions (Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD), endpoint management (Intune, Defender), and conditional access.
- Relevant certifications preferred (CISSP, Azure Security Engineer Associate/AZ-500, or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and executive audiences.
- Experience with network security solutions, email security platforms, data loss prevention (DLP), and security automation (PowerShell scripting) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in risk assessment, compliance management, and employee security awareness programs (e.g., KnowBe4).
