  • Provide timely analysis and actionable risk assessments to inform business decisions and operational planning
  • Support the development of security policies, standards, and procedures that strengthen resilience
  • Oversee subscription services and third-party providers to deliver timely intelligence that safeguards our people, assets, and facilities across the network
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and breaches, recommending corrective actions to reduce risk
  • Advise on the safe handling and movement of high-risk passengers, including deportees and persons in custody
  • Contribute to the Security Management System, ensuring compliance with domestic and international aviation regulations
  • Represent Air New Zealand in external intelligence and aviation security forums, strengthening networks and partnerships
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call roster, providing intelligence and risk support during critical events.

What you’ll bring

  • You must be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident, and the successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a New Zealand national security clearance
  • Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in security, intelligence analysis, geopolitical risk, or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of intelligence methodologies, geopolitical risk assessment, and security risk management frameworks
  • Tertiary qualification in Security, Intelligence, International Relations, Political Science, Aviation or related field
  • Relevant certifications in intelligence, security risk management, or security operations
  • Exceptional research, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex intelligence into clear, actionable advice
  • A proven innovative approach to harnessing emerging technologies in order to address complex and fast-moving security challenges
  • Personal attributes including diligence, discretion, resilience, and confidence under pressure.
