How You Will Make an Impact
At EverDriven, security is core to our mission of helping every child access education safely. As a Security Engineer, you will:
- Safeguard sensitive student data by owning the design and lifecycle of Microsoft security solutions (Azure, Entra ID, Defender XDR, Purview, Intune, Azure Sentinel). You’ll make decisions that balance risk reduction with the need for reliable, accessible systems.
- Shape our cloud security posture by embedding zero-trust principles across Azure and M365. You’ll influence how identities, access, and networks are structured to protect our most critical services at scale.
- Empower secure development and operations by integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, championing secure coding practices, and automating checks so security is built into every release.
- Lead proactive defense efforts by hunting for emerging threats, refining detection in Sentinel, and preparing teams through tabletop exercises. You’ll not only respond to incidents—you’ll strengthen the organization’s readiness every day.
- Drive compliance and trust by defining policies and playbooks that align with HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 standards. You’ll act as a partner to auditors and business leaders, showing how strong security enables business growth.
- Build a culture of security by mentoring teammates, coaching IT staff, and leading awareness initiatives that make security approachable for everyone.
- Look ahead by exploring and piloting new technologies—whether AI-assisted detection, passwordless authentication, or confidential computing—that keep EverDriven ahead of evolving threats.
What You Will Bring to EverDriven
To thrive in this role, you bring more than technical skills—you bring ownership, curiosity, and the ability to connect security to real-world outcomes.
