Security Architect

This role is ideal for a seasoned cybersecurity professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems, applications, and infrastructure. You will play a key role in protecting sensitive data, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations, and mitigating cyber threats. The position involves collaborating closely with IT, security teams, and business stakeholders to develop robust security architectures that align with organizational goals. You will evaluate emerging threats, implement advanced controls, and drive security best practices across multiple environments. This remote role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide security strategies in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative setting.

Accountabilities

  • Design and implement secure architectures for IT systems, applications, and networks.
  • Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Conduct system security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and risk evaluations.
  • Identify integration issues and develop solutions to improve security posture.
  • Plan and execute identity and access management strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure effective security controls.
  • Research and advocate for new security technologies and products.
  • Participate in incident response and forensic investigations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in security, with a minimum of 5 years as a Security Architect or similar role.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, risk assessment tools, identity management, and data encryption.
  • Strong knowledge of network security architecture, threat detection, and network protocols.
  • Expertise in firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.
  • Understanding of disaster recovery, computer forensics tools, and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills for coordinating across teams and stakeholders.
