Network Engineer II

This role offers the opportunity to manage and optimize a complex, multi-site network environment supporting a purpose-driven organization. You will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure across 20+ locations, ensuring high availability, security, and reliability. The position involves hands-on administration of network devices, firewalls, VoIP systems, and network security tools, with direct collaboration across technical and non-technical teams. You will also leverage scripting and AI technologies to streamline operations and enhance system performance. This hybrid role balances remote work with on-site travel and provides a culture of continuous learning to support technical growth and career development.

• Accountabilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN networks across multiple locations to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Manage Meraki and Cisco network devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Administer and troubleshoot VoIP systems, with experience in Microsoft Teams Voice considered a plus.
• Conduct regular network security assessments and implement best practices to safeguard systems and data.
• Support fleet management for network printers and other IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and changes for compliance and operational efficiency.
• Provide backup support for help desk activities and participate in program meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and ensure adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years focused on network engineering.
• Proven experience leading network-related projects and supporting multi-site environments (20+ locations).
• Hands-on experience with Meraki, Cisco, and Azure Firewall technologies; CCNA preferred.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell and experience leveraging AI for network operations.
• Strong understanding of network security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally beyond, supporting hybrid work requirements.
• Cultural competency and strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in HIPAA-regulated environments preferred.
