IT Consultant
Job Description
KPMG is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Consultant to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Information Technology Services. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support clients in improving their technology environments, ensuring compliance, and strengthening their security posture.
The Key Responsibilities of This Role Are:
- Assist in delivering IT audits across a variety of industries to evaluate systems, controls, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Support cybersecurity assessments and help implement basic security measures.
- Contribute to advisory projects by gathering data, analyzing IT processes, and preparing reports.
- Help identify risks and recommend improvements to IT systems and controls.
- Participate in client meetings and document findings and recommendations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and audit practices.
Qualifications
- A degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (e.g. Accounting, Commerce or other), CPA or CISA equivalent or ability to obtain a CPA or CISA.
- Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
- Strong interest in information security, risk management, and IT governance.
- Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and security principles.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with audit and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST).
- Internship, academic project, or volunteer experience in IT or cybersecurity is an advantage.
