This role offers a unique opportunity to provide advanced technical expertise in the deployment, configuration, and optimization of Forescout security solutions within complex enterprise and defense IT environments. The Engineering Subject Matter Specialist will work both remotely and occasionally on-site, supporting large-scale IT operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, hands-on management of security systems, and mentoring of colleagues on best practices. You will engage directly with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation, high system performance, and adherence to compliance standards. The role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy problem-solving, and have a strong foundation in network security and Linux systems.
Accountabilities
- Provide technical expertise and analysis of complex applications and operational environments.
- Deliver on-site and remote Forescout professional services, including deployment, configuration, health checks, optimization, training, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in all phases of software and system deployment, including planning, analysis, modeling, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation.
- Assist with network design, implementation, and capacity planning for security solutions.
- Coordinate pre-installation calls and create detailed post-deployment summaries.
- Develop and implement best practices, training materials, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with government and enterprise stakeholders on deployment strategies, feature requests, and system issues.
- Support and maintain Linux/UNIX-based operating systems and related security infrastructure.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in network and security system administration.
- Active IT-II security clearance or current NACLC (National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check).
- DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level II or above, such as CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCIH, CCSP, Security+ CE, SSCP, GICSP, or equivalent.
- Forescout Certified Administrator (FSCA) or Forescout Certified Engineer (FSCE).
- LINUX+ certification or equivalent experience in Linux/UNIX systems.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD networks, information security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with network security, administration, and IT system deployment in enterprise or defense environments.
