This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a DevSecOps Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the design and engineering of a robust DevOps Platform that supports essential software development and systems engineering activities. You will be working with a dynamic team passionate about leveraging automation and DevSecOps principles to enhance the performance of applications and infrastructure. Accountabilities
- Develop GitLab CI/CD Pipelines
- Automate configurations within Kubernetes
- Support cloud networking and routing for DNS, TLS, and Ingress/Egress
- Maintain and harden base images
- Conduct risk assessment documentation and provide corrective recommendations
- Validate Information Assurance Controls (IACs) and Validation Procedures (VPs)
- Troubleshoot and document DevSecOps engineering efforts
- Document processes for cloud application development teams
- Participate in Agile processes to develop technical solutions
- Research and resolve quality review issues
- Leverage scripting and automation for infrastructure management
- Contribute inputs on system cost, efficiency, and security posture
- Develop testing procedures, programming, and documentation for systems
- Identify and implement solutions to improve systems and products
- Collaborate with technical writers for documentation creation
- Coordinate project work to adhere to policies and schedule milestones
Requirements
- 6 years of experience in systems or software across various domains
- US Citizenship required
- DoD8570 compliant certifications (Sec+ and OS) for privileged access
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- High School diploma or GED with technical training in IT or Software Development
- 2+ years of related IT experience including DevOps/DevSecOps roles
- Experience in evaluating systems in Government Cloud environments
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and hands-on experience with tools like Terraform
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar orchestration tools
- Experience in infrastructure automation and CI/CD integration
- Experience in managing Continuous Integration and Delivery environments
