About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Datavant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical components of our healthcare data connectivity platform. You will work with a team of talented engineers to build scalable, reliable, and secure systems that enable the seamless and compliant exchange of healthcare data. You will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software components and systems.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues.
• Contribute to the improvement of our software development processes and practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with healthcare data and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
