CyberSecurity Analyst (Purview)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a CyberSecurity Analyst (Purview) in the United States.

This role offers the chance to strengthen an organization’s cybersecurity posture by managing identity, endpoint, and data protection across cloud environments. You will work hands-on with tools like Microsoft Purview, CrowdStrike, Rapid7, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud, helping detect and respond to security incidents, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance. Collaborating closely with IT teams, you’ll analyze alerts, investigate incidents, and implement solutions to maintain secure and resilient systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on security work, has strong Azure expertise, and is motivated to make a tangible impact on operational security.

Accountabilities:

  • Implement, configure, and manage Microsoft Purview for data protection and compliance.
  • Investigate alerts from CrowdStrike, Azure Defender, and Rapid7 InsightIDR to identify and resolve threats.
  • Support endpoint security and system hardening initiatives.
  • Review, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities using Rapid7 InsightVM.
  • Monitor identity security, MFA, and Conditional Access policies in Azure/Entra ID.
  • Document investigations, remediation steps, and security processes.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to address security issues and improve overall security posture.

Requirements:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in cybersecurity or SOC operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure security, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, CrowdStrike Falcon, Rapid7 InsightVM/IDR, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs) applied in security monitoring and incident investigation.
  • Ability to analyze alerts, investigate incidents, and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications: SC-900 and SC-400 required; SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, CompTIA Security+ or CySA+ preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field preferred.
