The Cloud Identity Security Sales Specialist will drive net-new revenue within a defined territory, focusing on commercial accounts and complex, multi-stakeholder environments. This role operates both as a direct quota-carrying seller and as an overlay specialist supporting other account executives. You will act as a subject matter expert in identity security, leading consultative engagements, influencing internal and external stakeholders, and delivering value-driven solutions that reduce organizational risk. Success requires navigating complex sales cycles, building strong cross-functional partnerships, and driving urgency across accounts. Accountabilities:
- Own and execute a strategic territory plan targeting net-new commercial accounts.
- Drive full-cycle sales from prospecting to contract close, including complex, multi-threaded deals.
- Operate as an overlay specialist across aligned sales teams, identifying and advancing opportunities within other account executives’ territories.
- Engage C-level and senior security stakeholders to deliver outcome-driven security solutions.
- Lead consultative discussions around identity governance, privilege risk reduction, and cloud security best practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales Engineering, Marketing, Professional Services, Customer Success) to accelerate pipeline and ensure successful deal outcomes.
- Develop ROI-focused business cases and proposals that demonstrate strategic value to customers.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and territory hygiene using Salesforce.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience selling commercial SaaS, cybersecurity, or cloud security solutions.
- Proven success in both direct quota-carrying and overlay/specialist sales models.
- Track record of closing complex deals in competitive, enterprise environments.
- Experience influencing peer sellers and aligning multiple stakeholders within a matrixed organization.
- Deep understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Cloud Security, or related security domains.
- Skilled in consultative selling, executive alignment, and value-based positioning.
- Experience developing and executing territory and account-based sales strategies.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and disciplined pipeline forecasting.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
