This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Cloud & Core Services Engineer in the United States.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a cloud and security engineering professional to design, implement, and optimize secure and resilient cloud infrastructure. You will work hands-on across Azure, network, and identity domains, implementing both vendor-based and custom solutions while automating compliance and operational tasks. The position requires collaboration across technology, risk, compliance, and executive teams, ensuring security is embedded throughout all services. Ideal candidates combine strategic thinking with tactical execution to meet evolving threat landscapes and operational needs. You will also help shape platform standards, build reusable infrastructure modules, and advance zero-trust and cloud-native security practices. This role is suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and regulated environment.
- Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and operate enterprise Azure environments, including landing zones, subscriptions, RBAC, and governance controls.
- Maintain Azure service catalogs, self-service templates, guardrails, and workflows for safe provisioning.
- Implement and operate identity and access management systems, including conditional access, MFA, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and PIM/PAM policies.
- Design and manage hybrid network infrastructure, including vWAN, VNets, SD-WAN, Private Link, DNS, and firewalls.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, embedding compliance and security checks.
- Integrate cloud services with SIEM and detection tools, developing analytics, playbooks, and automated responses.
- Automate evidence collection and mapping to regulatory frameworks (FFIEC, GLBA, SOX, PCI-DSS, NIST CSF).
- Provide operational support including incident response, root cause analysis, and documentation maintenance.
- Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on security engineering, cloud, or system administration experience in regulated financial or cloud-first environments.
- Expertise in Azure architecture, cloud security, identity management, networking, or Kubernetes/container security.
- Strong experience with IaC & DevSecOps automation (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Argo) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks: FFIEC, GLBA, SOX, NIST CSF 2.0.
- Ability to assess risk, develop long-term strategies, and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-paced, and virtual team environments.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, AZ-500, or GIAC are a plus.
- Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $146,230 – $195,000 annually.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
- Company-paid basic life insurance and optional supplemental coverage.
- Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
- Paid time off, vacation, sick leave, and 11 paid holidays.
- Opportunities for professional development, continuous learning, and career growth.
